| MOSAICS of Intricate Dimension |

| It is said that one medium prepares an artist for the next. A medium allowing both color and texture; these skulls provide the perfect three dimensional challenge. Cynthia Zeedyk creates these skulls using the curves and flaws of each one to enhance the asthetics of each design. Each skull is meticulously created by permanently affixing each tiny piece of semi-precious gems in a puzzle like fashion, working under a magnifying glass with tweezers. The work is minute and time consuming. There are from 10,000 to 50,000 semiprecious stone beads on each skull. The time required to complete just one of these skulls can be six months to one year, depending on the intricacy of the design. These gemstones are usually prepared for bead work of a different kind. On these skulls, they create a more uniformed surface when the project is complete, than if only fragments or stone chips were used. |

Beautiful and exquisite rebirth from harsh existence among the sagebrush, and prickly pears. |
